" The Double Threat Of Danger"- Miss Fortune ft Tyler Carter

Song: The Double Threat Of Danger
Album: A Spark To Believe
Artist: Miss Fortune (featuring Tyler Carter of Issues)
Genre: Post- Hardcore
Rating: ****

(I'm going to start of by saying I fully intended to review the acoustic version of this song that is on their album. I had never heard the original version but now I have heard it I prefer it to the one I knew prior.)

Miss Fortune are a fairly new band. Their debut album 'A Spark To Believe' (which I amazing, please go buy it right now!) came out in May. I heard of them when their single 'Interstate 44' was on the Sumerian (their record label) sample CD on the front of RockSound magazine earlier this year. I immediately fell in love with it and couldn't wait for the album.

Tyler Carter, guest vocalist on the song, is one of the lead singers in the metalcore band Issues. He is 22 and has previously sung in A Path Less Traveled and Woe, Is Me. He has done guest vocals for Hands Like Houses, Breath Carolina, Ice Nine Kills, Jamie's Elsewhere and more.

'The Double Threat Of Danger' Lyrics

I really, really love this song and I have absolutely no idea why it is not on the album!

This is the official video-thing for the original of this song.

This is the acoustic version from their album.

I think this is the only actual video by them. It is called 'Chasing Dreams'. So good. Sooo good.

"All The Small Things"- Blink182

Song: All The Small Things
Album: Enema Of The State
Artist: Blink182
Genre: Pop Rock
Rating: ****

So I thought this would be appropriate, scince today is Enema Of The State's 15th birthday!! (Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday Enema Of The State, happy birthday to you!)

Blink182 are legends. Everyone has heard them and most people know this song as it is their most well known. It is very catchy, so if you don't like ear-worms then don't listen too it... actually no- you MUST listen to it! I don't really know what else to say... it's one of those song you just have to know, a bit like 'We Will Rock You'.

Blink have inspired so many wonderful bands, like All Time Low, A Day To Remember, Fall Out Boy, Simple Plan, Taking Back Sunday, blessthefall and so, so, so many more! Most of the bands I listen to and devote my life to certainly would not exist with out the influence of Mark, Tom amd Travis. So happy birthday Enema, we all love you.

(And just to prove a point, here is All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth doing his impression of porn star Janine Lindemulder on the cover...)

'All The Small Things' lyrics

Yes... it is... um... interesting...? Right? Um... yeah...

This is my favorite Blink182 song. It is called 'The Rock Show' and it just makes me want to hang out with the guys forever 'cause they just seem like awesome people!

"They Don't Need To Understand"- Andy Black

Song: They Don't Need To Understand
Album: *not yet announced
Artist: Andy Black (Andy Biersack)
Genre: Dark Wave/ Synth
Rating: ****

For all those who are unaware of this brilliant human being, Andy Biersack (also known as Andy Sixx or Andy Black) is 23, and the lead singer of Black Veil Brides (one of my favorite bands EVER), who are an Indie Rock/ Rock/ Emo band who are just perfect!! I'll leave some links to their songs at the bottom and I'll probable post about them pretty soon.
Andy Black is Biersack's side, solo project. He announced it on his Instagram page. BVB is still going stronger than ever and are currently recording their 4th album. Andy said that this project is not going to get in the way of BVB at all, he just wanted to show the world his 'alter-ego'.

The first song of this project, 'They Don't Need To Understand' was premiered today on the Hot Topic YouTube channel. It shows a new side to Andy that most of us, as fans, have never seen before. For me, it was strange seeing his alone, without a band (especially BVB) behind him, but he seemed completely comfortable with it. The song is very different to how we normally hear him, but I think it suits him.I wasn't sure what to expect before watching it but I was pleasantly surprised. I do - and always will- prefer Black Veil Brides to this, because it is more my style, but I will be one of the first to buy this album, whenever it comes out!

The video was a bit of a disappointment for me. It's all black and white and, although I could never get sick of his wonderful face, every scene is just him singing.I still love the song though, nothing can take away from that!

"Caraphernelia"- Pierce The Veil ft. Jeremy McKinnon

Song: Caraphernelia
Album: Selfish Machines
Singer: Pierce The Veil ft. Jeremy McKinnon (ADTR)
Genre: Post Hardcore
Rating: *****

So, this is one of my favorite bands, with the singer from my absolute favorite band (A Day To Remember) and when I found out about this song I almost creamed with joy- and then I heard it. It. Is. Perfect.

Although Vic (PTV singer) can, and does scream, this song just isn't the same without Jeremy's slightly more aggressive vocals.

If any of you watched the All I Want (ADTR) video and are very observant, you will see that where Jeremy is in this video, Vic is for a short amount of time in that video! Clever huh? Any way great song, great band, great singer.

This is my favorite PTV song, it's called Bulls In The Bronx and as you can probably tell, the band are all originally Mexican and they try to incorporate their roots into some of their songs. (If you play guitar, the solo is INCREDIBLY fun to play. Pretty easy to!)

*** And... All Time Low was AMAZING. Oh my god!!! First we saw Tonight Alive who are incredible, then in the break we went to the VIP bar (we had backstage passes) and I stood about 2m away from THE Jack Barakat ( :0 )!!! Then I walked past Adam Elmakias THREE times and I almost said hi but I didn't wanna interrupt his working... He is taller than he looks in pictures/ on youtube just so you know... (If you don't know who Adam is, he is an incredibly talented photographer who tours all over the world with the best bends ever!! This is his blog: Adam Elmakias' blog
So anyway, All Time Low = AWESOME! I was in the standing bit just off to the right, really close to the stage. They are just so talented- especially live, and the atmosphere was amazing. I don't know how else to explain it to you unless you've been to one of their gigs. If you have, share your experience in the comments!! ***

And I'm sorry, I don't know what is going on with the font/size of this post...

'Weightless'- All Time Low

Song: Weightless
Album: Nothing Personal
Singer: All Time Low
Genre: Pop Punk
Rating: *****

So firstly- IT'S 10 DAYS UNTIL I SEE ALL TIME LOW LIVE AND I'M SO EXITED YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA. Sorry ;)

So I completely love this song, it was the first song of ATL's that I ever heard and it's really cool. I can really relate to it, which I practically never say about songs. I don't really know what to say apart from that it's amazing. All their songs are, and you have to set aside a Sunday (or any day of the week, a just thought Sunday is a good example!) and listen to all of their albums on YouTube or Spotify or iTube or something like that!

'Weightless' Lyrics

And just by watching this video, you can tell that they aren't afraid to make a bit of a fall out of themselves, which I love <3<3<3<3
They have so many amazing songs you should check out, but this one has been stuck in my head all day. It's called 'For Baltimore' because, well, they are from Baltimore... Obviously...

(Sorry, technical fault, I'll try to add a video another time but please feel free to search it yourself! There is no official video but just go for a lyric video, they're just as good.)

All Time Low
Members: Alex Gaskarth (Vocals, Rythm Guitar)
Jack Barakat (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals)
                 Zack Merrick (Bass, Backing Vocals)
                 Rian Dawson (Drums)
Albums: The Party Scene (2005)

               Dirty Work (2011)
               Don't Panic (2012)
Origin: Baltimore, Maryland (2003)

One more thing, I just saw that people from the UK, USA, China and even Poland view my blog!!! Thats amazing, thank you so much. I'm getting on average 3 views per day (which isn't great but it's something) so all you guys should tell your friends :)
Also, you guys NEVER comment. Literally- I have not got even one comment on any of my posts :( so maybe you can comment on this one...?
Haha thanks to my regular viewers, I really appreciate it :D

Wish me luck for the ATL gig next week!! It's on the 15th if anybody who reads this is going...? Bye!

I also found out that two of my other favorite bands, All Time Low and Fall Out Boy are playing in London really soon... *makes plans that will fail*

*Product Review* Fender Squier Strat

So, Merry Christmas and Happy New year everyone! I hope you all had a good holiday season filled with lots of merry music (which personally I got sick of in early November...)!

But, for my Christmas, my parents got me a Fender Squier Strat electric guitar!!! I love it far too much and before I went back to school a few days ago, I would literally lock myself in my room and play... so yeah, its an amazing guitar.

It has three pic-ups and comes with a decent sized amp, a tuner, a whammy bar and three 'Fender' plectrums (I collect them, sometimes I get a little bit over exited...).

^^^ This is what mine looks like, but the white is black :)

So if there is anything else you want to know, just comment. Comment sites to look at, artists, albums, songs, products or anything for me to have a look at!! Have a good weekend!
